My Favorite Festival Diwali : India is a country of festivals where almost all festivals are celebrated with great love and peace.
History has it that the whole Village of Ayodhya was lit with diyas on this occasion. The festival gets its name Deepawali, or Diwali, from the rows of lamps that the people of Ayodhya lit to welcome their King.
One of the other important reasons for celebrating Diwali is that it is considered as the birthday of Goddess Laxmi.
The festivals are made to free up the person from the busy life and for fun. Diwali is great festival of Hindus it is celebrate with great love in all over the is the festival of light.
People say that we celebrate Diwali because on that day god ram return from lanka and the people of ayodhya welcomed him by lightning small lamps so as honor to lord Ram and also to conquer darkness we celebrate this festival.
The schools remain closed and children are not forced to study during this festival. This is one of the most awaited vacations of the year! It speaks about the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. Hence, we should always be in the honest path and stand by truth no matter what.

Lakshmi Puja is the Puja of Lakshmi Goddess and is performed at the night during Diwali and kali for strength. Apart from houses, public buildings and government officers are also lit up.The scene of lights and illumination is very enchanting. At night the people illuminate their houses, walls and terraces with earthen pots.They say prayers, so that Goddess Lakshmi may visit their houses. The glittering lights in the darkness of night present a bewitching spectacle.
